WATERPARK
As the housing market in Miami continues to rise, along with our sea levels, we must look toward a future that embraces water-responsive architecture. To explore this concept, I decided to experiment with ideas for a public park in Biscayne Bay, serving as an initial trial not primarily focused on housing. The submerged level will function as an aqua-farm to protect and rehabilitate coral formations and seagrass. Conceptually, the strategic placement of similar structures around the bay would allow people to interact with marine life while supporting repopulation efforts. The opening at sea level provides a safe entry point for snorkeling, while the aquatic courtyard in the bottom level offers a unique space that can help reduce the visitor load on natural islands, which often suffer from pollution due to abandoned waste.
